Start thread 2/3 up the hook shank and wrap a thread base back to the
hook bend and then forwards to the starting point. Tie in the poly yarn
and tie it down to the hook bend. Wrap the thread forwards to the
stating point.

Wrap the body using the poly yarn. Taper it so it resembles the natural
more closely. Tie it off. |

The turkey wing section should be as wide as the hook gap. Tie it in so
it cups around the poly yarn body. The wing should extend just past the
hook bend. Trim the tip of the wing into a point. Half hitch the yellow
thread at this point before starting the deer hair.

Clean and stack a pencil thick bunch of deer hair. Spin it around the
hook shank with the tips facing back. Work your thread through the hair
and spin a second clump of deer hair in front of the first clump. Work
your thread through the thread, pull back on the hair and whip finish.
Trim the deer hair head as shown.
