Underbody: A strip of .020 lead on each side of the shank
Tails: Golden Pheasant Tail Barbs(don’t trim)
Rib: krystal flash, or thread
Abdomen: Amber Dubbing, then palmer with the excess GP from the tails. Trim the butt ends when you get to the thorax, but don’t throw them out, they’re your legs.
Thorax: Amber and Olive/Brown Dubbing
Legs: Butt ends from GP used for tails
Wingcase: Olive Brown Medallion Sheeting

Tail: Sparse Marabou. Flash
Butt: Spun Deer Body Hair
Legs: Rabbit Strips
Body: Stacked Deer Body Hair
Head: Spun Deer Body Hair
Eyes: Doll Eyes
-Tie in weed guard
-Tie in Flash
-Spin a couple clumps of deer body hair to form the butt. This will keep the legs from merging on the retrieve.
-Tie in a rabbit strip on each side of shank
-Stack deer body hair, yellow on bottom, olive on top
-Stop when you get to where the head will be
-Spin olive till you get to the eye
-Tie off
-Trim to shape
-reattach thread and tie off weed guard
-cut out eye sockets, glue on eyes with zap a gap

Thread: Yellow
Underbody: Clear Larva Lace Hollow Tubing(one piece on each side of shank, pinch ends closed)
Tails: Dirt Yellow Deer Body Hair
Abdomen: Yellow Turkey Biot(segmentation comes from coloring underbody black or brown)
Thorax: 3:1 blend of Angora Goat to Yellow Angelina Fibers
Wing: Dirty Yellow Deer Body Hair
-Tie in hollow tubing along each side of the shank. Be sure to pinch ends closed.
-Tie in tails
-Color top half, or entire underbody, dark brown or black. If only coloring top half, be sure the color on the bottom half matches the color of the biot
-Tie in biot, wrap forward- space wraps apart so underbody color shows between wraps.
-Tie in Wing, fan out slightly to the sides
-Dub Thorax
-Tie off and whip finish
-Use toothbrush or velcro to “buggy up” the thorax

-Tie in trailing shuck
-Bring thread forward to rear of thorax
-Tie in D Rib so that tag end is forward, working end is hanging from the rear of what will be your thorax.
-Tie in CDC by tips near rear of thorax, take several thread wraps forward until you’re right behind the eye, securing tag end of D Rib and CDC.
-Tie in hackle
-Dub thread
-Wrap hackle around dubbed thread
-Wrap hackled/dubbed thread backward, until you’re at the rear of the thorax.
-Tie off at rear of thorax
-Wrap D Rib to the tip of the abdomen.
-Fold CDC rearward, tying off at the tip of the abdomen
-Tie in Ostrich Herl
-Make 2-3 tight wraps, tie off, and whip finish
