Hook: Mustad 3366 or Gamakatsu BS10 1, 2, or 4
Thread: to match body
Tail: Magnum Cut Bunny Strip with a 1 inch piece of 30lb+ of mono tagged into the strip to keep the tail from fouling.
Back: Marabou Feather to match the tail
Belly: Marabou Feather to contrast the back tail
Head: Spirit River Palmer Chenille to match the Back and Tail
Eyes: 3D Eyes glued in place
Use in an assortment of colors and using barred bunny strips make this thing look hot.
This is a Jerry Darkes pattern.
The most important part here is the the stiff mono to keep the tail from fouling. Use a needle to thread the mono through the bunny strip, then I melt the end to make sure it doesn’t slide back through. Tie this in to the shank of the hook. ![]()
