rib: gold tinsel
thread: pale yellow (couldn’t find white in materials)
head: black thread
tail: mottled olive turkey quill slips
throat: green hackle
wing: imitation wood duck

lay in yellow (white) thread, tie in rib and floss, wind floss to just behind eye, wind rib to just behind eye, tie off and whip. run on black thread, tie in throat and wing, build head, whip and cement.

Thread: Fl Orange
Dubbing: equal parts Orange and Hot Yellow Steelhead Ice Dub and Natural Brown Rabbit
Hackle: brown
Collar: brown
Rib: fine gold wire
wing: brown bucktail dyed yellow

Tie in bucktail wing upright style, leaning forward;
tie in wire and 1 brown hackle;
dub forward to wing with equal mix of three dubbings;
palmer hackle forward;
counter-wind wire to wing and tie in;
tie in 2-3 more hackles and wrap to form collar;
whip finish and cement.

Figure 8 the eyes on under the hook in the kink cement in place. Paint the eyes yellow/gold with a black dot in the center. Tie in a clump of green bucktail on top and then yellow bucktail on the bottom, then the Krystal Flash, then green and yellow again, working towards the eyes. Once on the eyes, tie in the orange under the hook, and the olive on top. Whip finish and head cement. Trim as needed, then use a black magic marker to mark the vertical bars on the green/olive hair.
