Furled Mohair Muddler

Hook 1: Any
Stinger Hook: any large eye curved shank
Body: Mohair yarn and either backing, braided line, or saltwater leader wire depending on the size.
Hackle: any soft hackle
Wing: spun deer hair

Place Hook 1 in vice. Tie on a length braid, line etc., and mohair. Let these hang from the front half of the hook1. Thread on a stinger hook to the line and place the hook about 1/4 of the total length of line from the hook1. This will be the approx length of the fly body. Interwind the mohair and the line keeping the stinger out of the way. Over twist the line. Grab the stinger in your left hand and puling back slightly let the line and mohair furl on itself. Tie in the tags to to hook one and secure tightly with super glue. Wrap mohair up shank. Tie and wrap soft hackle then make a muddler wing with deer hair. Keep trying, you'll get it.
