Near-Nuff Sculpin

Hook: Mustad 9575 streamer Sizes 2-8
Thread: 8/0 to match
Eyes: Lead
Spinner: optional attached at tail with either 20lb mono of coated steel leader
Tail: marabou
Body: chennile
Rib: wire
Hackle: to match body (wrap chennile, hackle, and wire tie off about 1/8" behind lead eyes)
Legs: rubber
Thorax/head: Estaz to match body....wrap up to lead eyes, then around and between

tyed in as listed above....or for the Near-nuff..... here is how I build these.....
tie in the spinner using mono or wire....cover with thread wraps and super glue
tie in lead eyes and glue them(leave enough space behind hook eye to wrap estaz)
tie in the tail
tie in the chenille
tie in the hackle
tie in the wire to counter rib
wrap the chenille...tie off and trim about 1/8" behind lead eyes
wrap the hackle and take one full turn of hackle before tying off to form a collar
wrap counter rib and trim
tie in rubber legs
tie in estaz
wrap estaz....take a few wraps of the estaz between and around the eyes and then just in front of the eyes tie off and trim whip finish and glue.....and say
amen
