Hook: Jardine red #16
Thread: Pearsall's yellow
Hackle: Starling
With this pattern, regardless of the hook, I like sometimes like a little dubbed rabbit through the silk.

Olive rabbit strip, purple rabbit strip, orange rabbit strip,
20 guage steel wire, and rainbow mylar tubing. 1/4'' eyes if you wish
Wrap the hook with 20 gauge steel wire, from the hook eye, back past the barb.
Slide on the mylar tubing, and tie off at the back.
Moving up, to about the middle of the hook shank, tie in a small piece of purple rabbit strip to the underside of the hook. next, tie in a piece of orange rabbit strip in front of that.
Flip the fly over, and tie in a large strip of olive rabbit strip near the eye of the hook. Whip finish, and apply head cement, or superglue.
Apply 1/4'' eyes on either side if you like, I think it makes it look better.
